Is this the New Year or just another night?
I am sitting on the couch as the clock struck 12:00 am, my 21st birthday. I am aghast with excitement as the Sons of Thunder (the Gap bros) give me a sandwich hug, then proceed to jump up and down until the ramen noodle consumed 10 minutes earlier begins to climb the summit of my throat. Fortunately we stopped the tomfoolery, so Ralph wouldnt meet our carpet and couch. A light bulb blinked as I decided it was time to go to my bedroom where a great friend of mine had been sleeping for a couple hours- supposedly he went to bed so early in order to "greet the dawn"; he hasn't done so in 3 years. Poor Gerriet, poor, poor Gerriet. Upon sudden impact of my sprawled out body landing right on his back and head he immediately scrumpled up into a fetal position yelling "WHAT'S GOING ON!!" AHHHH, Too funny!
This is one of many stories that I share with so many people that I am privileged to call friends. Thank you all for all the memories, encouragement, tears, handshakes, milkshakes, and most of all your love. I truly am blessed!

Look, life. Is it worth every drop of persperation? Is it worth the emancipation?
Every moment of time’s just an answer to find What you’re here for, what you breathe for What you wake for, what you bleed for What you hope for, what you live for
Child, adult, then die. So futile, yet so invigorating. Here He is, making all things new. So faithful, such a friend my Jesus. It seems as if I've worn His hands down to bare bones after all we've gone through, yet He still remains within- always courting a love song for His rich child. We are one tonight. |
